My research within SIPLab and ISSS focuses on probabilistic approaches to create robust solutions to train Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) . My aim is to perfect networks as tools to get new insight when faced with complex and large amounts of data, as well as ease humans to complete certain tasks. My interest in neural networks came from my work placement at ST Microelectronics where I was researching image dehazing and detection. I hold a Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems MEng Degree with distinction from Heriot-Watt University. During my studies, I learnt how to design and build electrical and robotics systems. I also studied game engines and graphical data visualization to observe how information can be understood and processed in a gamified and simple way.
